Victoria and Bobby came to us through an auction for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which we donated a family photo session to. Victoria ran in the Nike Women’s Marathon the October with the TNT (Team in Training) program to help raise money to help fight leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
What Team in Training is doing is working. They have raised over $1 billion dollars for cancer research and patient education and at least 75% of all funds raised go directly to its five major programs: research, patient services, professional education, public education and community service. The survival rate for childhood Leukemia has gone from 4% in 1960 to 85% today because of fundraising efforts from campaigns like Team in Training. Some researchers believe that Leukemia is a gateway cancer for all other cancers when a cure is found.
Although there are many who have benefited from the work that The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is doing, there are still too many that have lost their battles. Victoria ran on October 17th, in celebrating the life of Paul Zeiss, the husband of her friend who lost his battle with melanoma in June 2010 at the age of 43.
This Family really was a blast to shoot. Ella LOVES the camera and she is such a little ham… she was giving me all kinds of poses the whole time. And Brenson is a little shy and a lot silly! It was a pleasure working with the Rogers family! Enjoy.
