I had so much fun with Kelsi on our shoot last night. The time breezed by — as did pretty much everything around us… the wind was intense at some times but we endured. Kelsi is an adorable, outgoing, ambitious young woman. She plays the piano, and is really into art and theater — AND– aspires to be a roller derby girl. Well, we just had to play up all these personality traits in her senior portraits. As we were wandering around and shooting in the woods we entered into musical forest. There was a beautifully majestic tree that appeared to be dead by the rotting bark. Though it’s lack of life was no longer producing fruit, it had begun to grow a wide variety of retro albums from England Dan and John Ford Coley to Bing Crosby Christmas. What a lovely find. As we began picking the records from the branches, the instantly grew back. If only there was a way to play them out in the woods. Enjoy.
