August 6th, 2011 was such a beautiful day. This Ampersand girl got spoiled with 2 weekends in a row of fresh summer mountain air in the GORGEOUS McCall, Idaho. The Bevan/Murphy wedding was the first of those weekends, and we had a blast at this wedding! We got to shoot in 4 locations and see most of the little town. First we started at the River Ranch cabin where the girls were getting ready. Brides- If you are looking for a venue in McCall with an amazing view and a really nice, big place to stay with your bridal party and get ready the morning of your wedding, then River Ranch is the place. The cabin backs up to acres and acres of breath taking rolling fields. Such a stunning view.
Not only did August sixth consist of a high of 83 degrees, a slight breeze, and blue skies with cartoonesque clouds; it also marked the wedding day of the coolest, most adorable, and welcoming, bride and groom I could ask for accompanied by an extremely charismatic and not to mention good-lookin’ bridal party… all whom love to party! I know I’m getting just cheesier than pizza, but really all around, August sixth was… well, picture perfect. ; ) Oh- and I guess I have to mention the photo of Derek ringing the doorbell! Have you EVER seen anyone ring a doorbell with that much swagger in your life?! Hahaha I totally LOVE this photo, it’s so perfect to show the personality and sense of humor of this couple!
The flowers were done by Flora in McCall– it is such a super cute flower boutique, that we are preparing a whole blog post just about them! The daisy bouquets were perfect with Mary’s colors AND the wild daisies that were everywhere at the event site. And how cute are the little flower girl’s halo things!?
After a relaxing morning filled with make-up and mimosas, the girls were ready and we headed to Mary’s family cabin right on the lake in the center of McCall. Then to Art Robert’s Park for the ceremony with all of their closest friends and family as the audience on one side, and Payette Lake on the other. After the ceremony, the bridal party literally “sailed off into the sunset” well… ‘pontuned’ into the sunset I suppose…. and later met their guests back at the River Ranch reception venue for an eventful night!
We had so much fun and are so glad to share this wedding with our faithful blog-stalkers! Thanks for choosing Ampersand Mary and Derek! Photobooth video coming soon! Enjoy.
